Trump said "we're gonna get Apple to start building their damn computers and things in this country, instead of in other countries."

How does this translate in to "Force Apple to Manufacture in the US"?

Here is the reason Apple CEO Cook gave for not building in the US: "skills that are associated with manufacturing that have left the U.S."

Bonus: Apparently Obama asked for Apple to make them in the US too but he gets a pass because when he said it - it made total absolute sense!

Trump specifically states he wants to raise taxes on businesses who manufacture in other countries. I'd say that's a form of coercion. Obama has also drawn support from labor unions, and has been more protectionist than most other Presidents. It's unusual for a Republican candidate to be more protectionist than the Democratic candidates.
