No, that's not what I'm saying. A credentialed economist will be less ignorant on economic issues. But having more knowledge is not the same as having enough knowledge.

An XVIIIth century credentialed doctor was certainly more knowledgeable about human body than a random person. Yet, for sick a person, it would have been safer to lie alone in bed than get a treatment from a doctor.

I think science-wise modern economics is roughly where medicine was in the late XVIIIth century.
