According to the poll, the global warming is now a racial issue Ė most blacks and Hispanics believe in anthropogenic global warming, most whites donít.

There is a much larger difference between the 'grad+ science degree' and the 'American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)' then I would have thought.

27% point gap for the warming question
36% point gap for GM food safety

I wonder what the cause of that is?

My first guess was that the difference might be explained by peer pressure. Most 'grads+ science degree' work in a private sector where most of their colleagues lean towards republicans. Most AAAS members might have zero republicans among their friends and close colleagues. However, this does not explain the difference on the GM question.
